The brief for this coastal property was to update the decoration but also to rearrange the structure to include a bedroom downstairs, an architect friend, Barbara Mawhinney, set about pulling light in by rearranging the living spaces and introducing as much glazing as possible.

The clients love Danish design, so I stuck to using shades of white on the walls and cabinets, and pastels for the furniture. All the pieces of furniture were sourced in Ireland and made to measure.

I added surprise dollups of colour, such as the stair carpet and blinds and curtains.
